Bandit Brainchild is the 18th generation of the iconic Bandit, evolving its design while staying true to the DNA riders know and trust. The kite remains intuitive and easy to control, while offering a more direct and refined feel. It performs equally well in freeride, wave, foil, and more dynamic riding styles.

Construction and materials

The kite is built using advanced Brainchild technologies, incorporating ultra-light and high-strength materials in both the inflatable structure and the canopy. The PROWELD process, based on ultrasonic welding of the leading edge segments, increases frame stiffness, reduces weight, and improves overall structural integrity, resulting in sharper bar feedback and higher responsiveness.

On the water

A new hybrid bridle system combines fixed front pigtails with a floating pulley on the tip, increasing structural stiffness and delivering ultra-precise handling. The slightly increased aspect ratio—the highest ever on a Bandit—optimizes airflow for smoother turning and improved depower efficiency. The kite sits predictably in the wind window and remains stable across both low and high wind conditions.

Handling and wind range

Bandit Brainchild features a quicker, more linear, and highly accessible depower system, making power management intuitive and controlled. Consistent bar pressure provides clear feedback without excessive load on the arms. Auto relaunch is fast and reliable, allowing effortless recovery from the water in a wide range of conditions.
