Freedom for wave riding and freestyle
A waist-mounted wing leash gives you more freedom than a standard wrist leash. With the wing attached around your waist, your arms stay free, which is especially useful in the waves, while swimming through shorebreak, or when getting back to your gear. It also works very well for freestyle, where unrestricted movement makes passes, transitions, and tricks feel more natural.
The V2 version is built for this kind of riding - dynamic, practical, and without unnecessary restriction.
Fidlock buckle and easy handling
At the front of the belt, FBC uses a Fidlock quick-release buckle. It is simple to use, secure under load, and easy to clip in or release when needed. According to the manufacturer, the buckle has a breaking strain of 130 kg.
This makes the system both reliable and convenient during regular use on the water.
Versatile attachment options
The FBC Wing Waist Leash V2 can be attached on the left side, right side, or at the back of the belt, depending on your preferred setup. The rear attachment point is especially interesting for more freestyle-oriented riding. In the V2 version, FBC also added a stainless ring for smoother movement and less friction during transitions.
This helps the leash move more naturally and stay out of the way while riding.
Strong Dyneema leash
The leash is made from durable Dyneema and treated with FBC’s Dyneema Defender finish, which helps prevent it from sticking to Velcro and other materials. The setup also includes a swivel carabiner that helps reduce twisting and tangling during use.
It is a straightforward, functional system made for demanding sessions.
Double safety and all-day comfort
The leash connects both to the leading edge lashing point and to the leading edge handle. This double safety setup gives you an extra backup if one connection point fails during a heavy wipeout.
The waist belt itself uses a 40 mm webbing strap wrapped in soft 4 mm neoprene, which keeps it light, comfortable, and unobtrusive during longer sessions.
