5 battens – wide range and reliable control
Duke is designed for bump & jump, freewave, freeride, freestyle, and wave sailing in gusty and demanding conditions. The five-batten layout stabilizes the profile particularly when wind strength changes rapidly, while maintaining a lively and responsive feel.
Light Done Right reduces weight by approximately 200–300 g compared with conventional construction without reducing the thickness of the main panels. One Piece Sleeve further removes unnecessary weight while maintaining structural stability under load.
Batten Free Center and Draft Forward
Batten Free Center increases the gap between the foot batten and the batten above the boom. This allows the boom area to inflate more easily, supporting the power needed for earlier planing, while the denser batten spacing in the upper sail keeps the profile stable.
The high, forward-oriented draft allows the sail to generate power quickly and become almost completely neutral when sheeted out. This is particularly useful during jibes, tricks, and jumps. The forward draft also generates lift for take-off and helps maintain control through to landing.
Trim and high-wind control
TT TOP supports three-dimensional twist in strong gusts, improving control at the upper end of the wind range. VTS – Visual Trim System helps set the downhaul accurately, while VTS Tail Outhaul Specs indicate the correct outhaul for each size when used with a compatible VTS TAIL boom.
3D Top Cap distributes downhaul forces more evenly, while Set & Go Vario Top and Double Buckle make it easier to achieve a quick and repeatable top setup.
Durability and practical details
Epoxy Battens and factory-calibrated iROCKET 2.0 tensioners help maintain consistent batten tension. Double Seam Technology increases durability in high-load areas, while Duratech Foot protects the sail foot from abrasion against the board deck.
Super-Light Bumper with VTS Slot helps monitor the downhaul setting, Triple Tack Roller 3.0 reduces the force required to tension the luff, and Twin Strap keeps the rolled sail compact.
