Competition-level freestyle board
Skate D/LAB is Duotone’s flagship freestyle board, developed for competitors and riders training the most advanced new-school maneuvers. Its compact shape is designed for rapid acceleration, powerful take-off, quick rotation, and controlled landings, allowing the rider to load up immediately for the next move.
The board is focused on power moves, double and triple moves, sliding tricks, and switch-stance riding.
Tail designed for speed and pop
The refined tail shape delivers rapid acceleration and high speed immediately before take-off. This allows the rider to use the board’s energy to generate powerful pop during technical maneuvers.
The fuller tail helps maintain speed in switch stance and through short wind lulls, making it easier to link consecutive freestyle moves smoothly.
Flat nose for sliding tricks
The flat nose is designed specifically for tricks that involve sliding across the water. It is intended to engage the surface in a controlled way and then release cleanly.
Combined with the compact length, this supports fast rotations and better control during technical freestyle combinations.
FULL CUSTOM D/LAB
Skate D/LAB uses Duotone’s highest-tier board construction. The boards are CNC-shaped and hand-finished using FULL CUSTOM D/LAB technology.
According to Duotone, this construction provides an excellent weight-to-strength ratio together with a more direct and precise feel underfoot. Compared with Skate SLS, the D/LAB version maintains a similar weight while offering increased durability.
Precise design and production
AI_BOARD_3D uses mathematical data-driven input together with AI cross-checking to increase shape-design precision.
Every board is CNC-shaped, while prototypes are produced in the same factory using the same process and materials as the production boards. This helps maintain consistency in weight, flex, and overall riding characteristics between development and the finished board.
Made to order
Every Skate D/LAB is produced only after an order is placed. Duotone states a maximum delivery time of 18 weeks. Selecting Express Air shipping can reduce the waiting time by approximately 6 weeks.
