Freewave without compromising freestyle or wave performance
Ultra FreeWave 2.0 D/LAB is based on a modern freestyle shape designed for rapid acceleration, pop, and direct response. At the same time, its geometry is tuned for side-on wave conditions up to logo-high, allowing the board to perform through full bottom and top turns.
Changing the fin configuration noticeably transforms its character. The tri-fin setup delivers a looser feel and allows the rider to commit hard to the rail when wave riding, while the single-fin configuration provides faster, more direct handling for freestyle and freewave.
New tail and improved comfort
Version 2.0 features a new tail outline that improves turn initiation and allows the board to carve tighter and more spontaneously. The square tail with thin yet boxy rails creates additional volume to push against during take-off, increasing pop.
The revised deck profile around the footstrap area improves foot support and comfort during longer sessions, particularly in choppy and powered-up conditions.
FULL CUSTOM D/LAB
Each board is CNC-shaped and handcrafted using FULL CUSTOM D/LAB technology with Carbon and Innegra/Kevlar. The construction is designed for an exceptionally efficient weight-to-strength ratio, high dent resistance, and a crisp, direct sensation underfoot.
Production prototypes are built in the same factory using the same materials and manufacturing process as production boards, helping maintain consistent weight and flex between development and the finished board.
Shape designed as one complete system
AI_BOARD_3D allows Duotone to develop shapes from mathematical data-driven input and cross-check the results using AI.
Synced Curves Concept synchronizes the outline, rocker, and rail curvature so all three elements work together through straight-line riding and turns. The parallel outline reduces drag and improves control, the wide tail supports early planing and jumping, while thinner rails toward the tail increase grip.
A constant V bottom with slight double concaves provides a smoother and more comfortable ride in choppy water.
Customized – made for the rider
Ultra FreeWave 2.0 D/LAB Customized is made to order. The rider chooses the size and one of the available color options, while every board receives an individual serial number.
