Wave board for fast, powerful waves
Cosmic (4) SLS is designed for fast and powerful wave conditions, particularly with side and side-off wind. It is not intended for typical onshore conditions. The Quad setup delivers strong grip when driving the board hard through the rail and allows the rider to maintain control through tight, committed turns.
The shape concept combines the stability and energy efficiency of a larger board with the turning ability of a smaller model, helping the Cosmic remain controlled on bigger waves without sacrificing maneuverability.
3-Stage Rocker and Synced Curves Concept
Synced Curves Concept coordinates rocker, outline, and rail curvature so all three elements work together through the turn.
The 3-Stage Rocker combines a flatter section between the footstraps for stability, increased rocker in front of the front straps for front-foot bottom-turn initiation, and a progressive Kickstarter Tail beginning over the final 4–5 cm to support tight and responsive top turns.
Refined 2027 shape
For 2027, the board receives slightly more nose rocker to improve white-water crossing. A refined tail outline increases grip and turning response, while the updated tuck line in the mid-front section supports quicker acceleration and better control.
The nose and tail are narrower than on the Grip. The narrower nose improves control at speed on powerful waves, while the narrower rear section helps keep the board controlled on larger, faster surf.
Bottom shape for fast rail-to-rail transitions
The front section uses a V double concave that transitions into a flat double concave underfoot and then into mono concave toward the tail.
This bottom geometry is designed for high-speed stability and controlled, rapid rail-to-rail transitions.
FULL CUSTOM SLS
Cosmic (4) SLS uses FULL CUSTOM SLS construction with S_GLASS+ reinforcement. Compared with D/LAB, the construction uses a lower carbon content and replaces Innegra with S_GLASS+.
The FULL CUSTOM production process is designed to maintain consistent weight and flex between individual boards. According to Duotone, SLS construction is also stronger and lighter than comparable boards produced using conventional semi-custom technology.
