This idea defines the whole concept of the Blitz. The board is meant to provide as much speed and efficiency as possible, while staying accessible and easy to control. On the water, that means quick planing, good stability while accelerating, and a confident feel even when the wind picks up. The Blitz is not a board that only works in a narrow range - it is designed to stay effective and predictable across a broad range of conditions.
More volume without losing control
The Blitz follows the same “volume yet control” concept as the Eagle. In practice, this means you can choose a board around 10 liters bigger than comparable boards from other brands without clearly sacrificing control in overpowered conditions. The extra volume improves stability before planing, makes take-offs easier, and gets the board onto the plane sooner, while still keeping a true freerace feel at speed.
Easy handling combined with jibe progression
The wide tail gives the Blitz plenty of support through the jibe. A more advanced rider can push the board hard and use its speed potential aggressively, while an intermediate rider gets a smoother, more forgiving entry into the turn. This makes the Blitz a strong board for progression - from first power jibes all the way to faster, more race-style laydown jibes. That is an important strength, because the board keeps working as your level improves.
Race-inspired details for speed and control
Duotone brought several ideas from its World Cup slalom boards into this model. The racier, boxier rails and the more outboard strap positions let the rider push harder against the fin and release more speed. The two step cutouts reduce drag at full pace and help increase top speed. The recessed mast track area lowers the rig connection point, improving both control and aerodynamics by closing the gap between board and sail.
Light CUSTOM CNC construction
One of the biggest strengths of the Blitz is the new CUSTOM CNC technology. According to Duotone, this construction reduced weight by around 500-800 grams compared to similar boards in this category. That level of weight reduction has a real effect on earlier planing, easier acceleration, and a lighter, more lively feel underfoot. The brand also highlights that the Blitz and Eagle are among the lightest and earliest planing boards in their class.
Two riding styles thanks to footstrap positioning
The Blitz uses Duo Riding Style Plugs, allowing you to tune the board to your preferred style. The more inboard option improves maneuverability and gives a more relaxed, freeride-oriented feeling. The more outboard option moves the board further toward freerace performance and helps unlock more speed. This is a very practical feature, especially if you want one board that can cover both everyday freeride sessions and more performance-focused sailing.
The fin changes the character of the board
Duotone clearly emphasizes that fin choice has a major effect on how the board behaves. The included F_Ride fin gives the Blitz a more comfortable feel and makes it more forgiving through jibes. An aftermarket RACE D/LAB fin pushes the board further into freerace territory and unlocks even more speed. This gives the rider room to adapt the setup to personal preference and skill level.

The Blitz is available in 116, 126, and 136 liters. The 116 will suit lighter riders or work well as a smaller board for stronger wind. The 126 is a very versatile option for a wide range of users looking for one fast board for freeride and freerace sailing. The 136 offers the most support, stability, and easiest planing, which makes it a strong choice for heavier riders or lighter wind conditions.
