Duotone Grip 3 SLS was developed for riders looking for one refined wave board that works across a wide range of spots and conditions. This is not an ultra-specialized shape for one narrow scenario, but a board shaped through PWA-level experience and testing in real-world conditions - from Pozo to Hookipa. The result is a board that feels balanced, predictable and easy to control, even when the conditions change during your session.
Thruster setup for dynamic riding and tighter turns
Grip 3 is built around a dedicated thruster setup. Compared to the Grip 4, it offers slightly better acceleration thanks to an efficient rocker line and a lower-drag entry, which is especially useful in jumping conditions. The 3-fin configuration allows earlier tail release, so the board feels more willing to deliver tighter, slashier turns, even when the wave quality is far from perfect.
Control across a wide range of conditions
This is one of the key strengths of the Grip 3 SLS. The board was designed to balance control, maneuverability and usable wind range. It works well both for a more front-footed riding style and for riders who prefer to load the back foot harder, giving you more freedom to adapt your approach to the spot and the conditions. Its broad wind range also helps reduce the need to switch boards during a session.
Lighter and stronger FULL CUSTOM SLS construction
Grip 3 SLS uses FULL CUSTOM SLS technology - a construction inspired by real custom boards, but based on a proven production shape. The result is a very strong weight-to-durability ratio. Duotone refined not only the layup itself, but also several details that help reduce overall weight, including the mini mast track, simplified side boxes and lighter graphic application. All of this helps the board feel light under your feet without sacrificing durability.
Plug & play instead of unnecessary complexity
Grip 3 SLS focuses on a simpler, more refined setup. Instead of multi-configuration fin box concepts that add weight and often force compromises in board performance, every element here is matched to the specific character of the shape. The mini mast track reduces weight in the nose area and also lowers the risk of incorrect mast base placement. The side boxes no longer offer adjustment, while tuning for riding style and sail size is handled through the center fin(s) only. In practice, this means faster setup and a more intuitive board trim on the water.

- PRO EVA PADS - 8-10 mm thick duo density EVA (depending on the board type) provides best dampening comfort and control. The heat pressed diamond grooving pattern protects the EVA against abrasion and provides an extraordinary grip level. Its colour resists dirt and sun-fading
- PREMIUM STRAP 2.0 - High quality closed cell neoprene for maximum longevity. Only black Lycra coating guarantees maximum comfort as well as maximum durability. The strap features measurement markings to allow you to quickly set up and replicate your individual size
- OUTLINE - Approx. 6 cm shorter than the GRIP 4 with a very similar max. width. The wider nose and swallow tail result in a more parallel rail outline in the center to balance the slashy Thruster fin configuration
- RAIL SHAPE - Only slightly thinned out rails in the tail and nose, ideal for slashy turns
- DECK SHAPE - Reduced dome deck shape results in a more stable/balanced stance, especially in drift & ride conditions
- MINI SIDE SLOT BOXES - The mini side slot boxes no longer offer any adjustment to prevent misplacing your fins. Now all adjustability for different riding styles and sail sizes is done through the center fin(s) only - Plug & Play and lighter weight!
- ROCKER LINE - Disconnected Rocker: faster surfing scoop-rocker line in the center combined with more rail rocker due to the progressive V in the tail. The slightly reduced center rocker prevents the Thruster fin configuration from releasing too early
- MINI MAST-TRACK - Reduces the weight in the critical nose area. It also reduces the risk to misplace your mast base while still providing just the right amount of length adjustment for all riding styles and sail sizes
