High-performance all-rounder for medium to big waves
The Blur D/LAB was designed by Sky Solbach as a versatile performance surfboard for a wide range of wave conditions, from smaller surf to overhead waves. It is also the board of choice for big-wave rider James Carew.
Its shape balances speed, control and smooth flow, making it suitable for fast down-the-line riding while remaining predictable when the conditions become more demanding.
Lean rocker for acceleration and stability
The refined lean rocker line helps the board accelerate efficiently while maintaining strong directional stability.
This keeps the Blur D/LAB lively without becoming nervous at speed, allowing the rider to hold a clean line and stay in control on faster, more powerful waves.
Rounded tail for grip and smooth rail-to-rail transitions
The rounded tail provides reliable grip and strong forward drive through turns. It supports smooth rail-to-rail transitions and allows the board to stay composed when driven harder through the rail.
This combination gives the board a fluid but precise character during fast wave riding and more powerful manoeuvres.
Carbon D/LAB construction
The advanced Carbon D/LAB construction reduces weight and delivers a very direct, sensitive response underfoot. The board reacts quickly to rider input, supporting precise direction changes and dynamic manoeuvres.
The reduced weight also enhances overall agility, making the board feel immediate and highly connected during technical wave riding.
Innegra Reinforcement
Innegra reinforcement is used in critical areas, particularly around the rails, to increase resistance to dings while preserving the lightweight and responsive character of the board.
The material also helps reduce high-frequency vibration, providing a smoother and more stable ride in choppy conditions.
RMF Shock Absorber 3.0
Reflex Memory Foam (RMF) combined with the Innegra Shield creates a lightweight damping system without compromising the overall strength of the construction.
RMF has a memory effect, allowing small heel dents to gradually recover over time. This helps reduce permanent deformation and keeps the board surface in better condition for longer.
RMF Shock Absorber 3.0 also absorbs impacts and reduces chatter, improving comfort and board control during powerful turns and landings.
Dynamic flex and Grab Rails
Optimized bamboo layers combined with composite materials provide dynamic flex and torsional response. This supports agile handling, powerful turns and quick board reactions across changing wave conditions.
Grab Rails improve handling during freestyle tricks while also increasing durability and providing a comfortable grip during general use.
MultiBox
The MultiBox system uses Futures-compatible fin boxes with side set screws and no rear tab. High manufacturing tolerances allow the use of high-quality composite and aftermarket Futures fins, while also making installation and removal easier even when sand or salt is present.
