Performance surfboard for small to medium waves
The Volt SLS was designed by Sky Solbach for fast, flowing and dynamic riding in small to medium surf. It especially shines in weaker, mushier waves where maintaining speed depends on how efficiently the board can generate drive.
The shape gets going quickly with minimal kite support, while its lively and responsive character makes tight turns and active riding on the wave face easier.
Fast acceleration in weaker conditions
A low-entry rocker is combined with increased volume and surface area under the front foot. This geometry helps generate drive quickly and maintain momentum through slower sections of the wave.
The Volt SLS needs only limited kite support to accelerate, which is particularly useful in weaker surf. It efficiently carries speed through sections where a more demanding shape could start to lose momentum.
Double Concave Bottom for grip and precision
The refined Double Concave Bottom improves grip and stability when the board is loaded onto the rail. It supports tight, controlled turns while maintaining precision during more aggressive riding.
Combined with the agile overall shape, this creates a board focused on quick directional changes and dynamic performance on the wave.
SLS, Innegra and optimized flex
The SLS construction uses Innegra fibres in place of traditional fibreglass. This creates a lightweight and durable structure with a lively, responsive feel and improved resistance to dents.
The Innegra Shield also reduces vibration, helping the board remain smoother and more controlled in choppy conditions.
Optimized bamboo layers combined with composite materials provide dynamic flex and torsional response. This allows the board to react quickly to rider input while maintaining powerful and predictable handling.
Cork Shock Absorber 2.0
Cork Shock Absorber 2.0 reduces the load transferred to the feet and heels while riding. The cork layer absorbs impacts and vibration while maintaining direct contact with the board for precise transfer of rider input.
This improves comfort during longer sessions and in rougher water without compromising board feel.
Grab Rails and MultiBox
Grab Rails make the board easier to hold during freestyle tricks while also improving durability and providing a comfortable grip during general handling.
The MultiBox system uses Futures-compatible fin boxes with side set screws and no rear tab. High manufacturing tolerances allow the use of high-quality composite and aftermarket Futures fins, while the design also makes installation and removal easier even when sand or salt is present.
