Freeride performance tailored to lighter riders
The Soleil Concept Blue 2027 is designed specifically for women. Its narrower outline is adapted to the biomechanics of lighter riders, making it easier to control the edge, maintain stability, and ride with less effort.
The Performance Outline is focused on comfort and smoother handling through chop. It also improves low-end performance and landing control. With this shape, Duotone recommends choosing a slightly longer board than with a more traditional outline. As an example, the brand suggests moving from 138 × 41 cm to 141 × 41 cm.
Concept Blue Construction – Flax and Basalt
Concept Blue Construction uses Flax and Basalt fibres to create a more natural material setup with a balanced combination of damping, stiffness, and responsiveness. Flax Fibre replaces traditional Glass Fibre and provides improved vibration damping, while Basalt Fibre, derived from volcanic rock, increases both torsional and longitudinal stiffness.
This combination keeps the board sporty and responsive while creating a smoother, more cushioned feel underfoot. According to Duotone, the construction also helps reduce the board’s CO₂ footprint, while all Concept Blue boards are produced using 100% solar energy.
Soft Flex and Absorption Flex Tips for a smoother ride
Soft Flex uses softer materials, thinner cores, and dedicated geometries to create a more forgiving flex response. This helps the board absorb impacts and reduces harsh feedback when riding through rough water.
Absorption Flex Tips work together with the scoop rocker line and adapt the board’s flex to changing conditions. In lighter winds, the board stays flatter to support quick planing. In stronger winds, the scoop can flex more to improve control and stability. The flexible tips also help cushion harder landings.
Double Concave Bottom for grip and stability
The Double Concave Bottom channels water along two concave lines, increasing grip and stability. This supports precise control, smooth planing, and responsive transitions through turns.
The bottom shape also helps the board remain composed in chop and after harder landings, complementing the comfort-oriented character of Soft Flex and Absorption Flex Tips.
Space Flex Technology for fluid carving
Space Flex Technology allows the board to adapt dynamically to the water surface. A stiffer outer frame works together with flexible tips to support smooth water release and early planing.
During carving, this flex pattern helps the board transition smoothly through turns while keeping the ride light and responsive. Reduced swing weight also makes tricks easier to initiate and helps speed up rotations.
Angled Rails and Torsion Flex for efficient edging
Angled Rails increase edge grip, helping the rider maintain speed and ride upwind more efficiently. The stronger hold also supports a more responsive release during take-off.
Torsion Flex uses a 3D cap shape to create controlled torsion along the board’s length. This improves heel-side grip, direct drive, smooth landings, and overall upwind performance.
