High Performance Freeride and Big Air
Rebel SLS Concept Blue retains the performance characteristics of the standard Rebel SLS and is designed primarily for high jumps, powerful take-offs and Big Air progression. Strong Light Superior construction combines reduced weight with increased structural stiffness and refined aerodynamics, providing fast response and stability during heavily powered riding.
It is aimed at ambitious Freeriders and Big Air riders looking to progress in jump height, kite loops, board-offs and more technical aerial manoeuvres.
Explosive lift and long hangtime
One of the key characteristics of Rebel SLS Concept Blue is its powerful vertical lift. The efficient airframe accelerates quickly overhead when sheeting in, making it easier to generate the power needed for high take-offs. This helps simplify jump timing and allows riders to reach impressive height without excessive kite movement before take-off.
Once airborne, the kite delivers long hangtime and a stable flight. The refined canopy profile, reduced drag and high structural stiffness improve lift efficiency, keeping the rider in the air for longer while maintaining precise steering.
This character provides an excellent platform for board-offs, controlled rotations and technical Big Air manoeuvres.
Easy lift generation when sheeting in
Rebel SLS Concept Blue responds quickly when the bar is sheeted in and accelerates towards the zenith. Power builds in a predictable way, making take-off timing intuitive and helping riders access the kite’s potential for high jumps.
Despite its direct response, the kite remains stable and composed. This allows precise positioning even during fast, heavily powered riding.
Controlled kite loops
Rebel SLS Concept Blue is also refined for modern kite loops. Increased inflation pressure, optimized Leading Edge geometry and high structural stiffness help the kite maintain its shape throughout the entire manoeuvre.
The loop generates powerful but predictable pull, while the stable airframe supports reliable recovery and a confident catch after the loop. This makes the kite suitable both for progressing into more powerful loops and for advanced manoeuvres performed at greater height.
Direct bar feel
Increased structural stiffness and advanced seam technology allow steering inputs to transfer quickly into canopy response. The rider can clearly sense the kite’s position and place it precisely during take-off, flight and technical manoeuvres.
This fast response is particularly important in Big Air, where accurate kite positioning directly affects control during high jumps, rotations and loops.
Stability across a wide wind range
Despite its sporty character, Rebel SLS Concept Blue remains stable and balanced across a wide wind range. Predictable handling gives ambitious Freeriders confidence while progressing into Big Air, while more experienced riders can make full use of the kite’s performance during high jumps and dynamic manoeuvres.
Concept Blue construction
The Concept Blue version uses selected material solutions developed according to Duotone’s Concept Blue philosophy without changing the High Performance Freeride and Big Air characteristics of the standard Rebel SLS.
It features undyed fabrics, a bladder made from material containing up to 57% bio-based carbon content, and polymer components made from post-industry recycled material.
