Dedicated Freestyle performance
The Pop D/LAB is Duotone’s dedicated front wing for modern foil freestyle. Its character is based on a stable, locked-in feel with consistent front foot pressure, giving riders predictable support for powerful take-offs and controlled landings.
Compared with more surf-oriented foils such as the Carve 3.0, the Pop D/LAB prioritizes stability, pop, and re-pop over glide and carving flow.
Low / Medium Aspect Ratio – control in powered conditions
The low to medium aspect ratio provides full control when riding powered and supports the explosive lift required for progressive Freestyle.
The wing is optimized for aggressive pop and fast re-pop after contact with the water, providing predictable response before take-off and during demanding aerial combinations.
Fast / Low Drag Profile
The fast, low-drag profile allows riders to build maximum speed before take-off, translating directly into greater height and amplitude during advanced tricks.
Solid front foot pressure remains consistent at high speed, while good stall resistance helps maintain control across a broad operating range.
Refined wing width distribution
The refined outline features greater wing width toward the center section. This geometry supports stability, powerful pop, and predictable handling across the speed range.
Combined with the fast profile, it creates a performance character focused on control through powerful take-offs and landings.
Constant front foot pressure
The Pop D/LAB is designed to maintain consistent front foot pressure throughout the speed range.
This gives riders predictable feedback before take-off, in the air, and during landings, helping maintain precise foil control throughout technical Freestyle maneuvers.
Reinforced D/LAB construction
The Pop D/LAB uses Duotone’s premium D/LAB construction with an increased fuselage cross section and a carefully optimized carbon layup.
These features increase strength, stiffness, and durability for the high loads generated during heavy landings while maintaining low weight and low drag.
3BS+ System with 4th Screw
The 3BS+ System uses an additional fourth screw at the connection between the front wing and fuselage.
Combined with the dedicated Monobloc Tail F165, the system delivers high pitch stability and predictable control throughout the full speed range.
Proven in Freestyle competition
The Pop D/LAB was developed and proven at the highest level of Freestyle competition, securing wins at GWA Freestyle World Cups during its development phase.
The 650 cm² is the go-to size for Duotone’s top team riders, while the 800 cm² provides additional lift for heavier riders or lighter wind conditions.
Freestyle, Kite Foiling, and fast Wing Foiling
Although developed primarily for Freestyle, the Pop D/LAB also delivers strong performance for fast Kite Foiling and flatwater Wing Foiling.
Its character is aimed at riders who prioritize speed, control, explosive take-offs, and stability over maximum glide or surf-oriented carving flow.
