Versatile medium-aspect design
Depending on size, the Crest SLS features an aspect ratio from 8.6 to 9.0. This geometry creates a balanced combination of glide, pumping efficiency, maneuverability, and control without pushing the wing too far toward either maximum speed or extreme efficiency.
It allows riders to connect waves and bumps with minimal loss of speed while retaining fast, responsive carving.
Stall-friendly profile for low-speed control
The Crest SLS uses a stall-friendly profile designed to remain predictable at lower speeds. It generates strong low-end lift, helping the foil stay flying through slower sections and during pumping.
As speed increases, the low-drag profile maintains efficient glide and a broad usable speed range without an abrupt change in handling characteristics.
Moustache-style curvature – fast turning response
The signature moustache-style curvature combines swept-back wing tips with a subtle upturn. This geometry gives the Crest SLS excellent agility and an immediate response to rider input.
The tip shape also supports controlled breaching when a wing tip briefly exits the water. This allows tip breaches, airs, and foil slides to be performed without abruptly interrupting the flow of the ride.
Highly pitch-stable profile
The Crest SLS is designed with a high level of pitch stability, helping the foil remain predictable through turns and changing speeds or conditions.
This stable character inspires confidence across different disciplines, whether carving on a wave, pumping between bumps, or riding with E-Assist.
Low drag and efficient glide
The Low Drag Design minimizes speed loss while the foil is flying freely. This allows the wing to carry momentum efficiently, making it easier to connect waves and bumps and reducing the effort required to maintain flight through pumping.
At the same time, the Crest SLS retains responsive carving performance, so efficient glide does not come at the expense of maneuverability.
For Prone Foiling, Parawinging, Wing Foiling, and E-Assist
The Crest SLS is designed as a versatile performance front wing for several foil disciplines. Duotone specifies it for Prone Foiling, Parawinging, freefly Wing Foiling, and E-Assist riding.
The combination of strong low-end lift, pitch stability, efficient glide, and responsive turning allows the same wing concept to perform across a broad range of riding styles and conditions.
Compatibility
The Crest SLS front wing mount is compatible with all current Duotone AL 3BS fuselages.
It can be paired with S, PX, and H stabilizers. The Crest SLS is also compatible with the new monobloc tails when combined with the new AL 3BS 23 cm front piece.
