The next generation of the Glide platform
The Glide 3.0 D/LAB evolves Duotone’s proven Glide platform toward even greater efficiency and control. With aspect ratios ranging from 11.4 to 12.4 depending on size, the new generation reduces drag and uses available energy more efficiently during flight.
Despite the increased aspect ratio, the wing retains a dynamic character, combining long glide phases with loose, responsive handling through turns.
Stall-friendly profile for low-speed performance
The Glide 3.0 D/LAB uses the same stall-friendly profile concept as the Crest D/LAB. It generates accessible low-end lift while maintaining a broad and usable speed range.
This makes it easier to stay on foil in low-energy conditions, while smooth and predictable power delivery improves control as speed changes.
Efficient pumping and extended glide
The refined profile and high aspect ratio improve pumping efficiency, allowing riders to maintain flight with less physical effort.
Reduced speed loss helps extend free-glide phases and makes it easier to connect waves and bumps, which is particularly valuable for Downwind and Parawing sessions.
Optimized wing width distribution
The optimized distribution of the wing’s width improves pumping efficiency and helps the Glide 3.0 D/LAB retain speed for longer.
This allows riders to use available energy more efficiently during extended glides while maintaining responsive handling through turns and wave carving.
Moustache-style curvature – looser handling
The new moustache-style curvature with upturned wingtips significantly changes the handling compared with the Glide 2.0. The wing has a looser, more dynamic roll response, improving maneuverability during carving.
The upturned tips also allow controlled breaching without an abrupt loss of stability, giving riders more freedom during dynamic maneuvers.
D/LAB Semi-Glider Design – maximum efficiency and low drag
The D/LAB Semi-Glider Design is engineered for maximum efficiency with low-drag characteristics.
This allows the Glide 3.0 D/LAB to retain speed effectively during free flight and cover longer distances without requiring constant intensive pumping.
3BS+ System with 4th Screw
The 3BS+ System uses an additional fourth screw at the front wing connection.
This provides maximum pitch stability across a wide speed range, supporting predictable handling during acceleration, pumping, and changing conditions.
For Wing Foiling, Prone, Parawing, and Downwind
The Glide 3.0 D/LAB is designed as a versatile high-performance front wing for multiple foil disciplines. Its applications range from Wing Foiling and Prone Foiling to Parawing and Downwind.
Its greatest strengths come into play where efficiency, pumping, and long glide phases are essential, while the agile handling also makes it suitable for carving waves.
Compatibility
The Glide 3.0 D/LAB works with all D/LAB tails and H, S, and PX stabilizers.
It is also compatible with the new Monobloc Tails.
