Compact shape for advanced Wave riding
The Trace SLS 2027 is designed for advanced wing foilers focused on progression in the surf. Positioned between the Sky Style SLS and Paradox SLS in the Duotone range, it combines reduced length with a narrow, surf-inspired outline.
Its compact proportions minimize swing weight, allowing the board to react quickly to direction changes and giving the rider precise control through critical sections of the wave.
Pointy Nose – reduced swing weight and clean whitewater entry
The Pointy Nose reduces swing weight at the front of the board, improving responsiveness during fast maneuvers. Its shape also cuts efficiently through whitewater, helping maintain speed and control when passing through breaking waves.
This supports both take-offs and transitions between wave sections, where quick board response and maintaining flow are essential.
Narrower Outline and High Apex Bevelled Rails – more turning clearance
The Narrower Outline improves maneuverability and provides additional clearance when the board is banked into a turn. At the same time, it supports efficient take-offs and enables tighter, more aggressive carving.
High Apex Bevelled Rails further increase clearance between the rails and the water. This reduces unwanted rail contact and allows the rider to lean the board harder into turns without interrupting the chosen line.
Narrow Bottom Shape – responsive rail-to-rail transitions
The Narrow Bottom Shape reduces drag and increases clearance, complementing the Narrower Outline and High Apex Bevelled Rails.
On the wave, this allows faster rail-to-rail transitions and gives the board a more immediate response through consecutive turns.
Step Tail – earlier lift and cleaner release
The Step Tail reduces the wetted surface behind the foil position. This allows the rear of the board to release from the water more efficiently during acceleration, supporting earlier lift onto foil.
The reduced surface area behind the foil also improves turning response, giving the Trace SLS a more dynamic feel on the wave.
Biax Carbon Sandwich Construction – stiffness and direct feedback
The Trace SLS uses lightweight and stiff Biax Carbon Sandwich Construction. Efficient load transfer between the rider and foil creates a direct response and precise board feedback during maneuvers.
The construction is also engineered for demanding conditions, including powerful landings and big airs during high-performance wave riding.
Carbon Foil Track – stiff foil connection
Reinforced Carbon Foil Tracks increase stiffness around the foil connection area. Reduced flex in this critical zone improves load transfer and maximizes responsiveness between the board and foil.
Rear Track Openings make foil mounting faster and allow convenient, precise adjustment of the foil position.
Narrower Insert Dimensions – more stance control
Narrower insert dimensions improve board control and allow a smaller stance setup. This gives riders more options to adapt foot positioning to their riding style, conditions, and personal preferences.
Four sizes from 45 to 90 litres
The Trace SLS 2027 is available in four sizes from 4’7” / 45 L to 5’6” / 90 L, with 15-litre volume steps.
The range covers ultra-compact, high-performance boards focused on maximum maneuverability as well as higher-volume options offering more stability for a wider range of rider weights and conditions.
