What the Float is built for

The Duotone Float is aimed at riders who spend most of their time on waves or want a light, well-drifting wing for freefly sessions. This is not a wing focused on maximum grunt in your hands. Its priority is control, smooth handling and easy positioning when reading the wave matters more than raw pull.

Wave-oriented profile and handling

The Float features a low sweep angle and a more forward-oriented profile to suit wave riding. Duotone reduced the profile depth in the center section and refined it further out toward the quarter span, helping the wing sheet in and out more smoothly. On the water, this translates into more natural handling through turns and easier control when wind strength changes.

Drift and stability on the wave

A slightly front-handed power delivery combined with lower-angle wingtips improves the wing’s drift and floating behavior. When you depower and focus on carving, the Float is designed to stay light in your hands and stable in position rather than requiring constant correction. That character is especially valuable in side-shore and side-onshore conditions where good drift makes a real difference.

Minimal weight and clean construction

The Float uses a minimalist design with no windows and a boom-only setup. This keeps overall weight low and preserves a direct, clean connection to the wing. The frame is built with proven 160 g Dacron, while the canopy uses MOD3 S material for durability, direct power transfer and long-term performance.

What this means on the water

The Float is designed to combine four key traits: smooth power delivery, stable drift, reduced drag on the wave and improved riding angles. That means it not only feels composed while riding swell, but also helps you get back into position more efficiently and maintain a better course both upwind and downwind.
