Easy wave catching
The CHANNEL ISLANDS Chancho 7'0" is designed for easy take-offs and relaxed surfing. Its 48.8-litre volume provides solid stability, helps the board enter waves earlier and reduces the effort needed to build speed while paddling.
The low nose rocker allows the board to accelerate efficiently and glide into waves with less effort. This is particularly useful in smaller or weaker conditions, where a lower-volume board may require more precise positioning and stronger paddling.
For beginners and experienced surfers
The Chancho is a practical choice for surfers progressing to independent surfing who need a stable board for learning take-offs, positioning and basic turns.
It also works well as a comfortable mid-length option for more experienced surfers. It is suited to relaxed sessions, smaller waves and days when catching more waves matters more than aggressive performance.
Smooth and easy handling
A subtle vee contour running through the rear section and the fin area helps the board transition smoothly from rail to rail. This keeps the board stable without making it feel heavy or difficult to turn.
The Futures Thruster setup uses three fins and provides predictable handling, control through turns and versatile performance in a wide range of conditions.
X-Lite construction
The board is built with torq X-Lite Epoxy technology, developed specifically for performance-oriented surfboards. This construction is lighter and more durable than traditional PU and polyester boards.
The epoxy construction offers a useful balance of low weight, stiffness and durability. The board remains convenient to transport while handling regular use well.

The set includes the CHANNEL ISLANDS X-Lite Chancho surfboard. Fins are not included and must be purchased separately for the Futures system.
