Purpose
The Cabrinha Quest was designed with a clear focus: downwind foiling, lightwind para wing, and efficient modern wingfoiling. It is built to help you lift off earlier and stay flying with less input and lower take-off speed.
Its overall character is clearly tuned for glide, efficient acceleration, and strong compatibility with modern foil setups. The Quest is not meant to be an allround board - it is a purpose-driven design for efficient riding, where low drag, balanced take-offs, and solid support during longer runs really matter.
Take-off and getting on foil
One of the key elements of this design is the displacement hull, which helps generate lift already at lower speeds. In practice, this means easier take-offs, better acceleration, and less demanding pumping before the foil starts working more fully.
The refined volume distribution improves balance, making it easier to position yourself during the take-off phase and stay in control as the board begins to accelerate. This is especially important in downwind foiling and para wing use, where a smooth transition from water contact to flight makes a big difference.
On-water feel
The Quest is designed to feel stable, but not heavy or dull. It gives solid support under your feet while still keeping the responsiveness needed for active control and efficient riding rhythm. This allows the board to work in harmony with both the rider and the power source, whether that is swell, wind, or a para wing.
It is a model built for smooth acceleration and long, efficient glides. The board transfers energy well, does not feel dead underfoot, and gives a more direct feel while riding on foil.
Shape and touchdown control
The beveled rails and smooth curved outline support cleaner water release. This helps both during take-offs and in touchdown situations, where the board can recover onto foil more easily instead of slowing down too much.
The rounded transitions in the outline reduce tension when the rail touches the water and improve the overall smoothness of the ride. This is especially useful when riding in mixed conditions or during longer lightwind runs.
Construction
The Cabrinha Quest is built using the new Carbon ProCore Construction. According to the manufacturer, this construction is up to 40% lighter than more traditional builds, which translates into easier acceleration, better board feel, and a more reactive response under your feet.
The lightweight, buoyant EPS core is combined with a carbon construction, a reinforced foil track spine, a double carbon base, and a full-deck PVC wrap. This layout increases stiffness, improves durability, and supports more direct energy transfer.
Included accessories
Included with the board are a board bag, 4 pcs M8x30 mm mounting bolts, and 2 lockable T-nut assemblies. Straps are sold separately.
