A versatile twintip for freeride
The Cabrinha Spectrum is one of those boards designed to simply work in many different situations. It is an all-round twintip focused on easy handling, predictability and broad usability. It suits beginners and intermediate riders very well, but it is also a strong option for more experienced kitesurfers looking for a comfortable, versatile board for everyday freeride use.
Its character can be described as fast yet forgiving. The Spectrum does not demand an aggressive riding style, while still offering enough control and stability to feel comfortable in a wide range of conditions.
Designed for a wide range of conditions and riding styles
One of the main strengths of this model is its well-balanced rocker and flex. Cabrinha designed them to perform across as many conditions as possible - from flatter water to more demanding, choppy spots. This gives the Spectrum a very predictable and easy-going feel whether you are just cruising or riding in a more active way.
The medium rocker helps balance early planing, speed retention and control. That balance is exactly what gives the board its versatile freeride character.
Control, upwind ability and comfort
The Spectrum has been shaped to track well and help you ride upwind efficiently. Supporting this are the 4-degree angled fins, the centre tip channel and the single concave bottom. Together, these features improve grip, support edging and make the board feel more controlled and predictable.
On the water, this translates into a smooth and settled ride with less nervous behaviour. That is especially useful if you often ride in changing conditions or simply want a board that does not require constant correction.
Very good in choppy water
One of the biggest advantages of the Spectrum is its comfort in rougher conditions. The board has been designed to handle chop well, stay under control and provide softer landings after jumps. If you often ride on spots where the water is far from flat, this type of character makes a noticeable difference.
That mix of comfort, stability and predictable response is what makes the Spectrum such a practical choice for regular freeride riding.
Paulownia core and practical details
The A-grade Paulownia wood core provides a good balance of weight, durability and natural flex. This type of construction works especially well in freeride boards because it helps maintain a smooth, consistent feel on the water without making the board feel overly harsh.
The deck also features centred grab rails, which make board-off maneuvers easier. It is a practical detail for riders who want to add more progressive tricks from time to time.
The board comes with 5 cm fins, a handle and mounting screws, so you get the essential hardware needed to set it up and ride.
