Barefoot System – direct board feel
The Barefoot System developed by French neoprene specialist ATAN uses an exceptionally soft and flexible natural latex sole. Its thin construction minimizes the barrier between the foot and the board, creating the characteristic barefoot-like feel ATAN boots are known for.
3 mm neoprene with Plush Titanium
ATAN Mistral is made from 3 mm mineral-based neoprene. The construction is glued and sewn, while the interior features Plush Titanium.
The Titanium adhesive forms a metallic film designed to reflect heat, supporting the thermal performance of the boot while maintaining a soft and flexible construction.
100% natural latex sole
The thin 100% natural latex sole provides very good grip and high flexibility, allowing the foot to move naturally on the board.
According to ATAN, the latex used offers up to 700% elongation, helping it maintain strong resistance to cuts and punctures.
Velcro calf strap
A Velcro strap positioned around the calf helps stabilize the boot on the foot while riding. Combined with the highly flexible construction, it supports a secure and comfortable fit without restricting movement.
For multiple watersports
ATAN Mistral Neoprene Latex Boot 3mm is designed for surfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling, kitesurfing, and other watersports. It combines the protection of 3 mm neoprene with the direct board feel of the Barefoot System.
Handcrafted in France
ATAN boots are handcrafted in the brand’s workshop in Ardèche, France. The company has been manufacturing its products in France since 1983.
Care for natural latex
After use, ATAN recommends rinsing the boots with fresh water and allowing them to dry without turning them inside out. Once dry, the latex can be treated with talcum powder. Store the boots in a cool place away from direct light, UV exposure, and hydrocarbons.
