A lighter and stiffer version of the Aeryn X1
The Aeryn X1 Dyneema builds on the handling characteristics of the standard X1, adding lower weight, increased frame stiffness and a more direct feel. It is designed for riders who expect instant response during freestyle, racing and high-performance freeride sessions.
The Dyneema frame minimises material stretch under load. This allows the profile to maintain its shape during pumping, acceleration and gusty conditions. Every movement through the boom translates more quickly into a change in the wing’s position and power delivery.
Almost 20% lighter
The X1 Dyneema is almost 20% lighter than the Dacron X1. The reduced swing weight makes the wing quicker to move during transitions, jumps and freestyle rotations.
You will also notice the lower weight during longer sessions. The wing requires less effort when held overhead or moved between positions, reducing arm fatigue and helping you maintain precise control through consecutive manoeuvres.
Ultra-stiff Dyneema frame
The leading edge and strut are made from high-tenacity Dyneema laminate. The rigid structure transfers power efficiently and limits profile deformation under higher loads.
When a stronger gust hits, the wing remains composed and retains its shape. This results in more direct acceleration, consistent drive and improved control at higher speeds.
Sharper upwind angles
The stiff frame and low-drag profile make efficient use of the available power. The X1 Dyneema allows you to ride at sharper upwind angles and maintain clean glide without constantly correcting the wing’s position.
Reduced energy loss through frame stretch also improves pumping efficiency. Power is transferred more directly, supporting early foil take-off and quick acceleration after transitions.
Teijin 3D canopy
The Teijin 3D canopy is precision cut and shaped to maintain the designed profile under load. Reinforced seams limit deformation and help preserve the wing’s handling characteristics during regular use.
The material sheds water quickly, which is useful after crashes and during relaunches. The canopy does not hold excessive water, helping the wing retain its light and responsive feel.
Full carbon boom
The Aeryn X1 Dyneema is equipped with a full carbon boom. Its low weight and high stiffness provide direct feedback and precise control over the wing angle.
The continuous grip gives you complete freedom to position your hands during long reaches, transitions, jumps and freestyle manoeuvres. You can slide your hands without searching for another handle, making movement between different stages of a manoeuvre smoother.
For freestyle, racing and advanced freeride
The X1 Dyneema is designed for advanced riders and those progressing towards faster, more technical riding. Its direct response, low weight and stable profile suit freestyle, racing and dynamic freeride sessions.
It is intended for riders who actively use trim adjustments and expect immediate feedback from their equipment. The stiff construction transmits more information through the boom than a conventional Dacron frame, requiring precise handling while providing greater control at speed.
Size range
The Aeryn X1 Dyneema is available in four sizes from 4.0 to 7.0 m². The range covers stronger-wind riding, powered freeride and light-wind sessions focused on efficient glide.
