AERYN Flow Carbon is developed for riders seeking maximum efficiency in downwind conditions. Its long, efficient outline and refined rocker are tuned for early lift and high glide, helping the board maintain speed and connect one bump after another.
AERYN describes Flow as the most advanced board range in its lineup. The shape is focused on making takeoff easier while delivering smooth control through acceleration and flight.
Lowered deck and connected feel
The lowered deck reduces thickness directly under the rider’s feet, creating a more direct connection with the foil and a more responsive feel underfoot.
Rider stance and US rail positioning are precisely tuned to minimize inertia and maintain balanced flight. As a result, the board is designed to feel smaller and more responsive than its dimensions might suggest.
Stable rails and smooth touchdowns
Optimized rails provide lateral stability while reducing drag during touchdowns. This helps maintain flow when the board reconnects with the water between sections of flight.
This geometry is particularly important in downwind riding, where maintaining speed and recovering efficiently after contact with the water can help the rider continue linking bumps.
Refined hull with strategic step
The refined hull uses a strategically positioned step to reduce resistance around the foil plate area and improve acceleration before takeoff.
Combined with the long outline and efficient rocker, the hull is designed to support easier lift and sustained glide during downwind sessions.
Carbon + PVC + Kevlar Sandwich
Flow Carbon uses a premium sandwich construction combining carbon, PVC and Kevlar. The structure is designed to deliver high stiffness without unnecessary weight.
Carbon-Kevlar reinforces impact-prone areas, while Bi-Axial Carbon increases strength and stiffness throughout the construction. The stiff rail structure helps the board hold its line at speed with reduced flex and more connected feedback.
The Feather-Light EPS Core is supported by fiberglass stringers for additional strength and stiffness. Footstrap plugs and foil tracks are locally reinforced with fiberglass, while Impact-Resistant PU Foam and a Scratch-Resistant PU Coat add protection against impacts and surface scratches.
