A backpack dedicated to downwind deflaters
Unlike the more versatile Offshore Vest, the Manera Deflater Bag is designed exclusively for downwind deflaters. It is intended for riders who go upwind with a wing, deflate it, store it in the bag and continue the run downwind without external logistics or vehicle support.
The design focuses on simplicity, light weight and reliability in open-water conditions.
Ultra-light and waterproof construction
The bag is built from ripstop fabric and Dacron, materials commonly used in kites and wings. This results in a backpack that is extremely light, waterproof and durable, so it remains barely noticeable on your back while riding upwind.
Compact fit while riding upwind
Four compression straps and Velcro fasteners allow the bag to be pressed tightly against the back when empty. This keeps the profile minimal and prevents movement or drag while riding upwind.
Large roll-top compartment
Once the wing is deflated, the large roll-top compartment allows you to store a wing of 5 m² or larger. The simple closure system keeps water out even during heavy falls, while still allowing fast and easy packing.
Water drainage system
A dedicated water exit opening on the underside of the bag allows water to drain out after the wing is stored. Once closed, the system prevents water from re-entering the bag.
Practical features
A front mesh pocket provides quick visual access to small accessories such as paddle attachments, a phone, a harness line or other essentials.
The waist belt, compatible with a hook, keeps the bag stable while riding. Inside, the bag also includes a hydration pack compartment (hydration system not included).
Designed for a new downwind approach
Downwind SUP foil continues to grow, bringing new logistical challenges. Riding upwind with a wing, deflating it and paddling downwind offers a flexible and efficient alternative. The Deflater Bag was developed alongside products like the Offshore Vest to support this new way of riding.
