Board character
Since its introduction, the Super Lightwind has set a benchmark in the lightwind category. It planes earlier than almost any other board on the market and immediately reaches a comfortable high-riding position. Even in minimal wind, the board feels free, smooth and easy to control. It is the perfect tool for riders who want to make the most out of summer thermals, marginal breezes or lightwind inland spots.
Construction
The board uses a paulownia wood bottom sandwich with parabolic rail reinforcement and Innegra bow protection for a stiff and durable build. It features a Foil-Tuttlebox, making it suitable for both fin and foil setups. Despite its large size, the structure keeps the board responsive and controlled underfoot.
Shape and details
A long outline with an even curve allows a seamless transition from low speed to planing. The parallel stance feels comfortable and distributes power evenly through both legs, making the board feel smaller and more reactive than its volume suggests. Thin and smooth rails, especially towards the tail, improve control and support a natural foot position for both fin and foil use.
The concave deck lowers the mast foot, reducing swing weight and increasing control when pushing the board at higher speeds or carving through manoeuvres. The transforming V-flow provides soft touchdowns, a high ride and smooth handling in chop. The curvy rail line enhances jibing and helps the board keep speed through the exit.
Large tail cut-outs reduce drag, improve release and thin out the rails for better carving and trim control. When used with a foil, the cut-outs help load the wings for an effortless takeoff. Thanks to its volume, width and leverage, the Super Lightwind also remains comfortable when fully powered on the foil.
On the water
Super Lightwind enters planing in almost no wind and accelerates instantly. Despite its size, it feels lively, responsive and easy to keep flat on the water. It rides fast across the wind, upwind and downwind with excellent stability. Jibes feel smooth and controlled, and the thin rails help the board carve precisely even at higher speeds.
Who is it for
This board is ideal for riders who want to sail when the wind seems too light for everyone else. Perfect for lakes, thermals, summer breezes and marginal days. Super Lightwind works extremely well on a fin and also offers a large performance window when used with a foil.
