A lightweight leash for downwind foiling and wingfoiling
FBC Foil Air Leash V2 is designed for riders who want their leash to stay out of the way while foiling. Instead of a traditional long leash, it combines elastic webbing with a short coiled section. This compact construction keeps excess slack to a minimum, reducing unwanted movement and contact with the water.
This is particularly useful during downwind and pump foiling sessions, where repetitive leg movements can cause conventional leashes to bounce against the board. The Air Leash V2 helps reduce this distraction, allowing riders to maintain a smooth, consistent pumping rhythm.
Hollow-core webbing — less noise and leash slap
The main section of the leash features hollow-core webbing with an internal elastic core. Its carefully balanced construction helps control unwanted movement during pumping and foiling.
Unlike a traditional long coil leash, the webbing is designed to minimise bouncing with every movement. This means less contact with the board's deck, reduced noise and fewer distractions when changing stance or moving around the board.
5-inch urethane coil — flexibility without excess slack
A short 5-inch (approximately 12.7 cm) urethane coil section provides controlled stretch under tension, allowing the leash to extend as the rider moves or the board drifts away.
Once the tension is released, the coil returns to its compact shape. This reduces the amount of loose leash that could get underfoot or drag through the water.
Waist attachment with swivel and carabiner
FBC Foil Air Leash V2 features a carabiner for attachment to a suitable connection point on a waist belt. This keeps the leash away from the ankles and feet, which is especially useful during active footwork and pumping on foil.
The integrated swivel allows the connection to rotate, helping prevent twisting as the rider changes direction or moves around the board.
At the board end, a rail saver provides a convenient attachment point while helping protect the connection area from direct contact with the harder leash components.

The Air Leash V2 is particularly suited to sessions where low weight, freedom of movement and minimal leash interference matter. During downwind runs, it helps prevent distracting leash movement while pumping.
