Original Grab Handle for Duotone Twin Tip Kiteboards
The Duotone Grab Handle Vario is a practical carry handle mounted in the centre of a twintip kiteboard. It makes carrying your board across the beach easier, provides a convenient grip during waterstarts and can be used when performing board-off tricks.
It's an ideal replacement for a lost or damaged original handle, as well as a useful addition to a board that doesn't already have one fitted.
SS04-onw – Which Board Years Are Compatible?
The SS04-onw designation indicates compatibility with a mounting system used on boards dating from the 2004 season onwards. Rather than referring to a single model year, it covers multiple generations of Twin Tip kiteboards.
The handle is designed for compatible Duotone Twin Tip boards and older North Kiteboarding models, including boards manufactured before the brand transition to Duotone in 2018.
However, the SS04-onw designation does not guarantee compatibility with every board manufactured after 2004. Always check your board's insert spacing and mounting configuration before purchasing.
180 mm Mounting Hole Spacing
The handle features 180 mm (18 cm) mounting hole spacing, measured centre-to-centre between the two mounting holes.
It can also be fitted to kiteboards from other brands, provided they have correctly spaced inserts with compatible M6 threads.
Before purchasing, simply measure the distance between the centres of the two handle mounting inserts on your board. The 180 mm measurement refers to the mounting hole spacing, not the overall length of the handle.
Easy Installation and Replacement
The handle is secured using two included M6 × 11.2 mm screws. It attaches directly to the board's factory-installed inserts, with no drilling or additional modifications required.
It can replace an existing grab handle on compatible Duotone and North Kiteboarding boards, restoring convenient board handling without replacing other components.
