The Loftsails Raceboardblade Ultra Light Wind II windsurfing set has been designed for competitive racing in the Raceboard class, especially in light wind conditions. This setup is aimed at racers and ambitious riders who expect strong upwind efficiency, a stable profile, and an effective response to pumping.
Loftsails Raceboardblade ULW II sail
The core of the set is the Raceboardblade Ultra Light Wind II windsurfing sail – a design developed in close cooperation with top-level raceboard riders such as Joao Rodrigues, Patrik Pollak, and Curro Manchon, under the guidance of Monty Spindler. The ULW II version is an evolution of the highly successful LW design, optimized specifically for sailing in lighter wind ranges.
The 5-batten layout with 3 camber inducers provides a stable sail framework, while the refined profile improves performance both upwind and downwind. The sail offers high trim sensitivity and a noticeably improved pumping response, which is crucial in raceboard competition.
Mast matched to the sail characteristics
Each version of the set is equipped with a carefully selected 100% carbon mast (100C), designed to match the specific sail size. It ensures correct sail profile behavior and a fast return to its neutral shape after pumping. This precise matching allows you to fully exploit the sail’s potential in light wind conditions and maintain consistent, repeatable trim settings.
Unifiber Modular Carbon Elite boom
The set is completed with the Unifiber Modular Carbon Elite Monocoque V2 carbon boom – Outside Wide Tail, manufactured from pre-preg carbon fiber. This boom is aimed at professional riders and ambitious amateurs who demand very high stiffness combined with low weight.
The boom features a tail with integrated pulleys, allowing smooth and efficient outhaul adjustment, making it easier to fine-tune the sail to current conditions. The Elite modular boom head provides a stiff, direct connection and is compatible with both SDM and RDM masts.
