Who this foil is for
The EAGLE was designed for riders who want to ride downwind not just in a straight line, but to carve bump after bump and treat the open ocean like an endless wave. It is a model that fits very well with pocket wing, K-Wing, SUP downwind, but also freeride and more open-water oriented riding. Its character will suit both riders developing their carving technique in downwind conditions and more advanced users who want to draw tighter lines and make better use of ocean energy.
Early lift, glide, and easier take-offs
One of the EAGLE’s biggest strengths is the way it combines strong low-end performance with efficient glide. The wing lifts easily, gives solid support during take-off, and helps link bumps smoothly without losing too much speed. Its 9.5 aspect ratio delivers the glide needed to connect sections efficiently, making it a very good choice in conditions where maintaining flow and making the most of water energy really matters.
TITAN 2 connection and a more direct feel
The new TITAN 2 connection improves stiffness, efficiency, and confidence at the junction between the mast and foil. The system uses two M8 screws and has been reinforced in this key structural area, allowing the whole setup to react with more precision and deliver a more direct feel underfoot. In practice, this means better energy transfer, a stronger connection to the foil, and improved glide thanks to reduced drag.
Maneuverability, carving, and turn behavior
What really sets the EAGLE apart from many traditional downwind foils is its maneuverability. The reduced winglets and refined wingtip outline noticeably improve the foil’s behavior throughout the turn - from rail-to-rail roll, to pitch stability, to the exit of the carve. The EAGLE turns naturally, smoothly, and without feeling demanding, while still staying stable. This makes it a strong option both for riders learning to carve more confidently and for those who want to push harder and draw tighter lines.
Forward drive and better use of bump energy
The EAGLE’s new profile has been refined to do more than just glide well at low speed - it also generates very effective forward drive. This is especially important in ocean surfing, because that forward projection allows the rider to carve more freely without worrying about losing momentum or getting overtaken by the bump. The EAGLE converts water energy into acceleration more efficiently, making it easier to keep speed through turns and build smooth, personal lines instead of simply following a straight path.
On-water character and difference compared to the EAGLE X
Within the ocean surfing program, the EAGLE feels most at home on steeper and or slower bumps, meaning conditions with stronger wind and a shorter period. It is a foil that offers a lot of control, enters carving turns easily, and works very well in more dynamic and technical riding. F-ONE clearly positions the EAGLE X as the better option for faster and rounder bumps, typically found in lighter wind and longer-period conditions.
Refined carbon construction
The EAGLE uses construction solutions that improve stiffness, precision, and overall foil feel. High Modulus fiber is around 1.5 times stiffer than standard carbon, which improves the wing’s behavior in both bending and torsion without making the whole foil overly harsh. Pre-Preg technology helps keep weight low while delivering high strength and very consistent build quality, and the Monobloc Front Wing construction removes a connection point in one of the most highly loaded areas of the setup. In practice, this means more direct response, fewer unwanted micro-movements, and very consistent behavior on the water.
Sizes and use
The EAGLE is available in 690, 790, 890, 990, 1090, 1190, and 1290 cm². The smaller sizes will suit lighter riders, stronger conditions, and more dynamic riding with a stronger focus on speed and carving. The larger sizes provide more lift, easier take-offs, and more comfort in lighter conditions or for heavier riders. It is a wide size range that makes it easier to match the foil to rider level, conditions, and chosen discipline.
