Kite character

Addikt TEC is the successor to the Bandit-S and has been developed specifically for wave riding and strapless freestyle. The kite is highly neutral and predictable, allowing riders to focus fully on the wave rather than on kite management. It performs equally well when ridden underpowered for pure surf expression or overpowered with full control for strapless jumps.

Construction and materials

The kite features the new CODE-TEC fabric on the airframe, offering an outstanding balance of light weight, reduced elongation, and high tear resistance. This results in increased structural stiffness and minimal deformation under load, ensuring the kite maintains its shape and delivers a sharper, more direct feel through the bar.

On the water

Addikt TEC stands out for its excellent low-end efficiency and smooth, immediate depower. Power delivery remains stable and controlled even when the bar is fully sheeted out, allowing precise steering in gusty or uneven wind conditions. The kite handles lulls and gusts with ease, remaining unobtrusive and predictable in the surf.

Drift and control

With its exceptional drift, Addikt TEC follows the rider naturally without stalling or racing ahead, maintaining line tension while riding down the line. This allows riders to minimize kite input and focus entirely on board control and wave timing, regardless of conditions.

Tuning and details

Back line tuning allows riders to fine-tune steering response and turning speed to suit personal preference and conditions. Streamlined leading edge end tips with reduced diameter lower drag and help prevent bridle tangling. A redesigned bridle system with reduced elongation and smaller diameter improves performance, while lightweight, low-friction pulleys reduce line wear and simplify repairs. The vertical strut cut optimizes the strength-to-diameter ratio, and the new one-pump system speeds up inflation and deflation.
