With 5 strut design Evo handles amazingly well strong winds with powerful gusts and also forgives steering mistakes. Possible 4 or 5 line setup, depends on your preferences. Loaded 5th line

The loaded 5th line is a “nose line” which provides constant tension. This tension is responsible for fast and reactive steering, powered as well as depowered and a direct, crisp bar feel. Only the 5th line system provides 100% depower in less than one second when releasing the Iron Heart.

Self Rescue Handles

The self-rescue handles placed on the inside of the wingtips can be easily found in case of an offshore break down. They guarantee good, comfortable grip while sailing back to the shore during a self-rescue manoeuvre.

Air Port Valve II

2016 North kites are equipped with the completely redesigned Air Port Valve II. This new system is not twistable and doesn`t need a velcro system. Thread of the Air Port Valve II is redesigned and is less affected by sand or other materials. The top of the valve can be easily opened or closed. The new valve`s unique and redesigned construction has several advantages, but first and foremost it saves time rigging which gives you more time on the water. Tha Air Port Valve II works with any conventional pump or compressor as it can be connected directly to the hose or bayonet insert. The valve is suited for both, inflation and deflation. Deflation is integrated, which means no external deflation pin is needed. It is simply activated by turning the blue wheel on the inside of the valve completely right.

Lazy Pump

Lazy Pump system from North Kiteboarding allows you to inflate the kite from just one valve. Clips close off struts from leading edge to prevent unwanted airflow or simply to deflate only the leading edge. It`s both simple and efficient.

Kook Proof Connectors

The kook proof connection points prevent accidents and increase safety by guaranteeing that you cannot accidentally or by mistake connect your lines incorrectly when rigging your kite.

Anti Snag

The anti snag webbing prevents the lines from tangling around the wingtip of the kite. This make water relaunch easier and increases safety.

Technoforce D2

Teijin is world`s leading supplier for polyester fabrics and sail materials for all kinds of marine sports. North Kiteboarding is using the remarkably Teijin Dacron for leading edges, struts, wingtips and wherever high tension is found. Technoforce D2 is used for North Kiteboarding canopy, which was an exclusively developed for the brand. It has proven its superiority in dynamics and durability since NKB started using it.

Zig Zag Stiches

Every single seam is stitched with sewing technique called zigzag. At first they are glued, then stitched. The result is highly durable, clean and good-looking stitch, which overall support stability of the kite.

Load Distribution Panel

As kite geometry improves, canopy must continue to resist increasing forces. Load Distribution Panels are used to spread these forces, holding the kite's shape even under the most extreme loads. In practive it gives in any riding situation smoother and more consistent performance.

Fusion Strut

This construction allows for a controlled distribution of berces between leading edge and strut. Struts are 100% connected to the leading edge with a flexible Dyneema line, which promotes clean profile and higher canopy tension.

Abrasion Reinforcement

All areas exposed to scuffing are strengthened with STPU reinforcements, acclaimed for its durability against abrasion.

Lines by Teufelberger

Teufelberger is a leading supplier for ropes, ranging from climbing, sailing and paragliding to specialized lines for kitesurfing. North Kiteboarding uses Teufelberger products for lines and bridles as they provide durability and safety.

Zipperless Strut

As in modern high-performance kitesurfing every detail has huge impact, strut without zippers means less weight, which gives results in durability and smoother flying characteristics. These advantages exceed the slightly more annoying process required when changing a strut bladder.

Bladders of Polyurethane

Every single bladder is made out of high quality Polyurethane. A material knows for its hight elasticity in various temperatures and resistance to pressure. To ensure durable seams and binding the material together perfectly, North is using modern welding technique.

Durable V Pigtails

These pigtails assign the load of the line connections to the kite, minimizing risk of fatigue, which makes the kite less prone to distortion and helps with smoothly steering.

Trailing Edge Force Control

This system is responsible for providing smooth force distribution between different materials of the kite. It has to force tensions in the right directions. Since 2013, to eliminate stress points between Dacron Trailing Edge and the D2 Canopy material NKB made higher and wider waves. Thanks to this construction change, fluttering marks are reduced and material is not wearing out.

Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam

Special Heavy Duty Closing Seam makes leading edges of all kites intensely enduring. Leading Edge`s Dacron material is strengthened with a self sticky Insignia Tape and additionally double stitched to provide maximum durability for the kite.
