Join usAqua Marina Cascade Tandem 13'2 is ideal for people who like to experience adventures on the water together! This hybrid model allows you to swim both standing up - like on the popular SUPs, and sitting down - like in a classic kayak.
The inflatable design has two compartments - designed for tandem traveling. There is a removable pad in each kayak compartment so you can comfortably move in different ways.
KAYAK: You can kayak in a seated position by sitting down in the kayak chambers - ideal position in big waves or on a fast rafting trip. It is possible to fit a high-back kayak seat (to be purchased separately), which mounts in the middle of the deck. The high-back seat is more comfortable for many people because you sit as in a chair with your legs slightly lowered. An additional advantage, is that on the lower deck of the Cascade Tandem, you can carry a small passenger or some luggage at the same time :)
SUP DESK: You can travel standing up, standing in the chambers of the board. Beginner paddlers can remove the pad from the chamber to stand on the lower deck - then, due to the lower centre of gravity, stand-up paddling is more stable and each user will feel more confident. If you are swimming solo and are already a somewhat skilled paddler - stand on the higher deck, right in the middle. You don't have to worry about slipping - the EVA foam will give your feet a great grip.
The set comes with 2 Dual Tech paddles. These are four-piece 2-in-1 paddles that you adapt to the way you choose to kayak or SUP.
Cascade Tandem's capacity is a whopping 620 litres, providing great stability and carrying capacity of up to 250 kg - so you can carry a small passenger or substantial luggage with you on long trips. You'll also be able to easily attach your carry-on items to the bow of the board, where the RED STRAP™ flat bungee cord system fits.
Two fins are included (rear and centre), when to use them? If you're paddling a classic stand up - use just the rear one. And if you're kayaking in the deep water variant - add the centre fin. The fins will help you stay on course, for example in crosswinds or when sailing in waves along the coast. Their installation is instant and incredibly easy thanks to the Swift Attach (click-in) - just one 'click'!
The Cascade Tandem has been manufactured using innovative Drop Stitch Light Technology, which provides excellent strength, lightness and stiffness to the board. Each kayak chamber has a drain valve for removing water from the deck.
