The origins of the company date back to the 70s of the last century, when the family Lienau led workshops for children and youth. In 1981, Jurgen Lienau founded the company Wolkenstürmer and laid the foundation stone for the first kites store in Germany.

Years of research and experimentation with new materials has led among other things to the creation of the highly successful training kites series Paraflex. The company is driven by the passion of creating new products especially designed for fun of their future owners and introduction to kitesurfing by using trainer kites on land.
