The Twiggy Fiberglass 5-Fin, designed by big wave world champion Grant "Twiggy" Baker, is in the Rake template category. Perfected over several years of research and development as a thruster initially, the quad rears were added in to create the ideal big wave package for those looking to charge. With a center fin slightly larger than the sides, the thruster is Twiggy's preference in XXL size surf. The quad option suits him more when it's barreling and down the line. Both sets feature high speed foils and solid fiberglass construction enabling surfers to have better control over their board while achieving peak speeds. The 5-fin set is designed to be ridden as either a Thruster or Quad set-up, packaged together for more versatility through your quiver.

A TOOL TO HELP YOU SURF BETTER

Using Ride Number is easy, you just have to understand the feelings of Speed Generating and Speed Control. On one end of the Ride Number scale is Speed Generating fins. These fins feel responsive and provide that extra spring most often wanted when the surf is lacking power. On the opposite side is Speed Control. These fins feel solid, engaged, and predictable providing that extra hold usually only needed when the surf is cranking. The middle ground is Balanced, offering a mix of the two extremes for an all around feel. Just remember, when you're pumping - Speed Generating, when the waves are pumping - Speed Control.
