Manic is high performance wave sail that works great in every kind of wave conditions. It is very stable, durable and provides you early planning. Recommended for experienced wave riders. In sizes up to 4.2 it features 4 battens to reduce its weight, however sizes from 4.5 up have 5 battens, which makes it more stable, gives good acceleration, manoeuvrability and provides full control in every conditions. Middle part of the sail has been made out of monofilm, which makes it lighter.

The 2016 model has more flat profile which has been moved forward, this significantly increases the acceleration and keeps all the manoeuvrability. The 2016 Manic features convertible batten system to all the sizes in the range. This system allows the rider more control to customise their sail. Putting the shorter batten in place frees up the feeling in the rig and can be a useful tool to generate drive for light-wind wave riding. With longer batten it is more stiff, which gives full control and stability in strong, gusty winds.

"Wave sails are usually split on two kinds - either they are stable and easy to handle in overpowered conditions and are directed on riding at stable, but not highest performance level or they are manoeuvrable, responsive and directed on this one of its kind, best manoeuvre, which someone actually might get on camera. Manic 2016 is the first sail which I tested that combines these two worlds together. It is soft but stable, responsive but still good in overpowered conditions. I signed in with GA / Tabou mainly because of the slalom performance, however Manic was the biggest positive surprise for me. In lighter winds for more power and/or for lighter riders who prefer soft sails I recommend the ¾ batten, seems like only few inches difference, but it really does matter."
