CrazyFly Sculp is versatile allround freeride/freestyle kite. It suit great any style of riding and wide range of riders. Features very big wind range, is very easy and predictable in steering. In the air it is stable, generates plenty of power, gets through gusts effortlessly and offer easy and fast relaunch. It makes powerful, agile, fast on turns, easy relaunch and incredible wind range with great hang time for jumps.

Sculp for 2017 features a lot of improvements. For the canopy CrazyFly used Double Ripstop material which is extremely lightweight, durable catches a lot more air for increased hangtime and more power. Wingtips of the canopy have been reinforced with United Dacron Panel which increased rigidity and reactivity. Features linked bridle system without pulleys which gives direct connection and feeling of the kite. Also it enhances responsiveness and durability. All tuning of the new Sculp made it lighter weight and faster with wider wind range, more power and increased hangtime.

Technologies

BACKLINES TUNING
There are three back line setting on the wingtip of the kite. These allow rider to tune the kite to his own preferences. The fast backline setup provides the quickest turning of the kite and the lightest bar pressure. On medium setting the kite still turns relatively quickly and there is more load on the bar. On the slow setting the kite turns noticeably slower and the bar pressure is high.

BUILT IN PUMP LEASH
The pump leash is one piece with the central strut reinforcement. Instead of sewing the pump leash on the kite separately, which creates a point of weakness on the leading edge, CrazyFly opted for creating the pump leash for the central strut reinforcement.

SINUSOID TRAILING EDGE
This year, we have completely re-designed the trailing edge. Instead of using a straight stripe of extra ripstop, we created a much stronger Sinusoid Trailing Edge made from Marcloth. The sinusoid shape evenly spreads tension and reduces flap. This results in a much stronger and more solid trailing edge.

LINKED BRIDLE
Brand new for 2017 kites, the Linked Bridle does not have any pulleys nor sliders. It created direct link between the rider and the kite, resulting in faster kite reactions and more controlled handling. The Linked Bridle is also much more durable than conventional bridles, as it reduces bridle line movement and abrasion to minimum.

ONE PUMP SYSTEM
The one pump system allow for quicker and easier inflation and deflation of the kite and ensures even pressure distribution throughout the kite. The valves are made from highest quality material available and are manufactured in Europe. Brand new this year the hose clips are covered with Arptex which unlike neoprene does not intake water which reduces weight.

TURBO INFLATE/DEFLATE
All CF kites are equipped with turbo inflate/deflate system which inflates and deflates the kite through the same valve. This year’s Turbo valve is covered with Arptex, which does not take water and doesn’t add weight to the ktie. Allows you to pump and deflate the kite very fast.
